We love the idea of taking lost pieces and fragments and junk, and bringing out new beauty - letting it shine again, and be loved in a new way . . . this black counter could be a kitchen island, a laundry room folding table, a baby changing piece, or entertainment console . . . the possibilities are endless!

A new coat of paint and color will change any piece - brighten it up . . .
We can't wait to show you all the things we've been changing, enhancing the old and making displays new again!
We are mesmerized by pieces like this 3 tiered, ever-so-large birdcage, that would transform any space where it calls home.
We love the thought of giving gifts like these natural bird journals - that inspire the person receiving them to reflect, create and write their heart's thoughts.
And we are fascinated by simply gazing at a found treasure touched by the warm sunshine, drawing us in its fleeting moment of this beautiful light it has now cast on our souls.
Each of us is here for a brief sojourn; for what purpose he knows not, though he senses it. But without deeper reflection one knows from daily life that one exists for other people.
Sisters garden offers 2 stores at one location. Each are housed in old houses which in itself makes this a unique and inspirational shopping experience.
Our doors opened in 1994.
We are located in rural Iowa, near Iowa City, Ia. We have a country feel....but "SISTERS" (as we've become known) has an urban style that marks us as upscale, retro, quirky, and all things mixed together room-by-room with vintage and new. An ever-changing inventory with the latest trends, but at the same time filled with antique farm furnitures, (mostly Iowa finds) vintage architectural, doors, trims, garden, and apothecary goods.
Customers have found us as tried and true---------always offering honesty in our business, and a sincere rapport with our customer friends.
This blog is about our shops, the merchandise we have for sale, and our seasonal events. Come be inspired both in store and on-line!!!
We've been given Junk Revolution's "Good Junk" Award! Click on the seal to visit their site.
Our hope is that all who come through our doors will be inspired, find beauty in the cast off, used, and otherwise random goods that we offer for sale. We hope you are so inspired to seek and to find the dreams that God has put into all of us.
